Completely and utterly enchanting

When Carrie & Campbell told me the theme for their wedding was movies, I was excited to see what they had planned as I’m a total movie geek myself and I loved their plans. Rather than an Order of Service, the guests received scripts complete with stage description on how the day would unfold. A cinema ticket to swap for ice cream and a cocktail making exhibition.   It was fantastic to see all the details they had planned and created (Carrie makes amazing wedding stationary check out Cards by Carrie ) and it was topped off by a brilliant first dance straight from the Disney movie ‘Enchanted’.

Keeping with the theme for the highlights clip I picked a song that I felt could be the main theme for a big Hollywood romantic movie and I hope I have captured a little bit of that movie magic for them.

It was a fantastic day at the beautiful Atholl Palace where once again I was working Naomi from Norma Ann Photography.

Carrie & Campbell thank you for having us and I hope you had much fun as we did filming.

Nadia & Euan

Music ‘White Dresss’ by Ben Rector. Licenced from The Music Bed

A question for brides, if your fiancé said to you that he would buy the bridesmaids their gifts would you trust him? Lianne (my wife) would probably have told me to just worry about my haircut for the day but that’s exactly what Nadia allowed Euan to do and he didn’t just buy the gifts he created a whole experience that made Nadia’s morning that little bit extra special.

Nadia & Euan’s wedding was a wonderful day, full of love and a lot of laughter. I had a fantastic time filming it alongside Claire from Julie Lamont Photography and even experienced the immense Red Hot Chilli Pipers for the first time.

Thank you Nadia & Euan for letting us tell your story. Good luck in the future.

Nicola & Michael

Music ‘She is’ by Ben Rector licensed from The Music Bed

This is going back to May last year when we filmed the wonderful wedding of Michael & Nicola at the fabulous Brig O’Doon in Alloway.

From the boys playing football in the morning to the brilliant first dance it was a fun, loving day and I hope you can really get a sense of that in the highlights clip, even the celebrant getting Michael’s surname wrong just added to the fun and laughter.

Again we were working with Jackie from Norma Ann Photography taking beautiful pictures.

Thanks again Nicola & Michael for having us as part of your day.  We wish you all the best for your future.

Happy New Year and Welcome to our New Blog

Firstly a massive thanks to all our couples these past few years who have allowed us to film their big day. We have been enormously privileged to witness some amazing weddings and amazing people and to tell the stories of some fantastic days

However we have been thinking that it was time to refresh our blog and site and what better time to do it than the new year. We are still working away on the main site but wanted to get our new presence on the web updated so we could start showing off our films.

Whether you’re recently engaged or getting married soon and have just decided to have the day filmed, contact us and see if we are available. We would love to have a chat and a coffee  and show off more of our work.

We’ve changed a couple of bits on the blog, if you want to see what we’re saying on Twitter then just point at the top left and out Twitter feed will magically appear and now if you want to comment on a blog post you no longer need to sign in or give us your e-mail address, you just use your Facebook account making it so simple.

If you are getting married in 2012 or just beginning the planning enjoy it all and we look forward to hearing from you.
